Master in Interaction Design SUPSI CAS in Creating Kinetic Spaces - New program!

#news

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Creating Kinetic Spaces, a groundbreaking program that explores the realm of kinetic installations for physical spaces. With a strong emphasis on functionality and aesthetics, this comprehensive course offers participants an unparalleled opportunity to reimagine design by integrating captivating motion and technology.

The CAS in Creating Kinetic Spaces provides participants with a training in designing for physical motion and digital control. Throughout the program, individuals will gain knowledge about various aspects, including the fundamentals of kinetic installations, crucial design considerations, prototyping techniques, programming essentials, real-life implementation, and the application of digital fabrication techniques. By the end of the CAS, students will possess the ability to create captivating kinetic systems using state-of-the-art digital fabrication techniques and electronics.

Designed to meet the needs of professionals in creative media firms, interior design and architecture studios, as well as designers and artists, the newly launched CAS by SUPSI (Swiss University of Applied Sciences and Arts) aims to empower participants with a cutting-edge set of digital skills tailored specifically for the fields of design and architecture.

More information are available on the brand new section of this website Creating Kinetic Spaces.

The new program is coordinated by Serena Cangiano, senior researcher and Head of Digital Fabrication laboratory SUPSI, Alice Mela, Designer and Product Manager at Arduino.cc, Giorgio Olivero, Creative Director, Designer, Curator.
