This thesis investigates the environmental impact of generative AI, focusing on “generative waste”—the discarded outputs from iterative image creation. It reimagines sustainability principles like reuse and reduce within visual design education. Through the lens of slow design and digital sustainability, the project promotes mindful, intentional AI use. Aimed at emerging designers, it encourages the development of creative practices that are both innovative and environmentally responsible, fostering awareness of the digital footprint in generative processes.
