HUMAN LOCI is a compact listening box designed for screen-free, place-based listening. It does not play music; it plays public places through looping field recordings. Three physical disks each link to a specific location: park, marina, and train station. They act as tangible identifiers and synesthetic cues, with texture and pigment providing a physical signature that prepares listening before sound begins. Interaction stays minimal: a disk is placed, a tonearm gesture starts or stops playback, and a volume wheel adjusts intensity. The goal is to make everyday atmospheres and human presence perceptible over time.
