Ado Sollazzo will share his exploration of digital manufacturing and additive manufacturing, providing insights into his personal and professional journey in this field. The presentation will also address the challenges encountered in the emerging 3D printing industry and unveil the innovative solutions introduced by LAMAQUINA, pushing personalized industrial production to new heights.
Aldo Sollazzo is an Italian entrepreneur with expertise in robotics, computer vision, and computational design. Since 2011, he has been serving as the CEO of Noumena, a data-driven company that employs computer vision and machine learning to study and analyze spatial dynamics. Within the Noumena Group, he also holds the position of CEO of PURE.TECH, a company focused on industrial-scale materials promoting sustainability, and LAMÁQUINA, a large-scale 3D printing factory shaping new architectural solutions through advanced manufacturing and computation. At the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia in Barcelona, he serves as the Director of the Master's program in Robotics and Advanced Construction. In 2019, Aldo was honoured with the title of Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy by the President of the Italian Republic in recognition of his contributions to the national prestige abroad through his scientific and technological activities. Aldo has been invited to conferences and university seminars, including the European Conference on Computer Vision, Barcelona Urban Tech, Future City Summit, the Venice Biennale, and TEDx Barcelona.
